General Guidlines

School Timing:

  • Summer Timings (April to October) : 7:00AM to 1:00PM
  • Winter Timings (November to March) : 10:00AM to4:00 PM

NOTE : Students must arrive at the school at least ten minutes before. The gate will be closed after the first bell. Late comers will normally be sent back home. The student will not be allowed to leave the School premises earlier than the Scheduled leaving hours, except some emergency cases.


School Diary

A diary will be given to every student for regular updates. It will work as a link between student, guardian and the school. Parents are requested to sign the reports, teacher’s remarks in the diary so they remain abreast with the progress of their child. The Diary must be brought to class every day.

Internal Discipline

Discipline is an integral part of the education process. Discipline is the law of nature. Without it, nothing works well.

Students are required to address their teachers and all other members of teaching & non-teaching staff with due respect, admiration, and graciousness. They are expected to behave always in an appropriate manner, be apt to the dignity of the School.

Students shall not be absent from the class without sufficient cause. Irregular and insufficient attendance can prevent promotion. Minimum attendance must be 75% of the number of School days. Attendance is compulsory for the celebration of National Days (15Aug., 26Jan.).

The school is not to be held accountable for the loss of any personal belongings. It is not advisable for students to bring any valuables to the school.

Students are not allowed to bring any arsenals or sharp instruments, such as blades, knives, scissors etc., to school. Bringing mobile phones or cameras to school is strictly prohibited.

Students are expected to take proper care of the school belongings. Strict action may be taken if School property, including library books, gets damaged or destroyed. In such cases, a heavy fine may also be imposed. They should not damage things belonging to other students.

In all such cases, defaulters will be issued Grey Cards as a first and second warning. Despite this cautionary step, anyone shows no will to improve will be suspended. The further default will result in a harsh form of punishment so as to be expelled from the school.


Uniform

Uniform is compulsory during school hours and for all school functions including all such occasions where students are representing the school outside.

Students in dirty or untidy uniforms may not be allowed to attend classes. It is the duty of parents to see that the student comes to school neatly dressed in the approved uniform.

Short, well trimmed and neatly combed hair for boys and simply set, clipped and hair tied with a black rubber band for girls. Clean teeth, eyes and ears and properly cut nails and proper shoes are a part of school dressing.

It is hoped that students will take pride in their appearance in school uniform.

Attendance & Leave of Absence

Note :Students must attend the school and classes regularly from the first day to the last day of the session. Students attaining 100% attendance are awarded in the Annual Prize Day. Anyhow, it is compulsory for every student to obtain min. 75% attendance in the academic year to be allowed for the final exam.

Attendance is counted from the day the school opens and is checked twice daily.

Bunking classes or school is strictly forbidden.

In the case of sickness for any period of time, a Medical Certificate must be attached with the leave application.

There is no provision for half day leaves except any emergency case.

A student remaining absent for any period of the day without prior permission will lose attendance for the day. Leave on any account will be considered as an absence.

Any leave of absence will be granted only on a written application, specifying a genuine reason and duly endorsed by the parent/ guardian. Leave should be taken in advance (except in the case of unforeseen circumstances.)

Sick leave for more than three days must be supported by a proper medical certificate from the attending doctor.

Students suffering from any infectious disease must complete the quarantine period before rejoining the school and his/her medical fitness must be supported by the attending and registered doctor’s certificate.

Re-admission

Re-admission will be allowed only in exceptional and genuine circumstances solely at the discretion of the Principal but the students expelled on account of gross misconduct and moral turpitude will not be entertained at all.

Use of School Services

School telephone - students will not be called out of class to answer the telephone except in cases of emergency. Students should use the telephone only when absolutely necessary and only if they have permission from the secretary or the teacher in charge.

Cycle and other two wheelers - (under proper license) will only be kept in locked condition at the designated parking stands against payment of a nominal parking fee. Vehicles parked beyond the allowed territory will be fined. Students are not allowed to bring cars to the school.
